Kpop Treasure Hunt: Finds of the Week #1

Where I talk about all the little buried gems I have found in the land of Kpop over the week.

1. IU - The Visitor

Easily the standout track from IU's latest album 'Love Poem', it starts off as seemingly yet another addition to background lounge music, about a woman pining after her love. But IU elevates the song by weaving it with a mysteriousness that is buoyed by her breathy vocals and lyrics that add a slight touch of dark fantasy into the mix with its almost phantom-like description of the lover.

2. 1TEAM - Make This

The delivery by the members of the group is definitely lacking, but the instrumental itself, mainly the chorus, is a sound that is sadly much too rare in the Kpop idol scene and I just cannot find it in me to ignore this song.

3. WayV - Love Talk

Just...go listen to it. And if you ever come across the english version, RUN AWAY!
